What are the different energy efficiency standards?
Solar panel technology: Solar cells are generally designed to produce solar energy by capturing the sunlight from the sun.
Wind turbine technology: These are usually located on top of a turbine and capture the wind blowing in the direction of the wind.
Energy storage: Energy-storage technologies are either stationary or moving energy (generating electricity for the grids) from the energy produced by solar panels to the grid.
As we discussed in our previous article, energy storage is typically much cheaper than solar panels.

How does the efficiency of solar panels compare to wind turbines?
In terms of solar efficiency, solar panels can be divided into two categories.
On the surface, the efficiency is the number of watts of energy produced per watt of electricity generated.
For example, if you generate 2 watts of electricity, then your total energy-storage capacity is 20 watts.
If you then generate another 2 watts, the total energy you store is 50 watts.
Solar panels can also be divided in two ways.
One is that solar panels generate energy by reflecting sunlight back to the sun, and the other is that the energy is stored as energy that can be used to generate power.
You can calculate your total capacity of energy storage, and this is known as your power storage capacity, using a formula known as EER.
So the more watts of power that you store, the more efficient your solar panels are.
Wind turbines can be broken down into two types.
Both types of turbines use a turbine blade to generate wind energy.
These are also known as turbines.
The efficiency of wind turbines can vary from 25% to 50%.
If the efficiency falls below a certain level, the blades can become damaged.
